Crosstown's newest show, Crosstown Goes to Hollywood, was a great success. The crowd loved our musical review featuring songs from the movies! Following the performance was the Afterglow, featuring Easy Days men's quartet. Easy Days and all our quartets made it a perfect ending to a great day of music. Thank you to everyone who came out to see the show!
Crosstown Harmony members took a field trip to find inspiration for our upcoming show, and what better place to look than ComedySportz! Such talent, such energy, such FUN!
We were invited back to The Morning Blend to perform a few of our favorites. It's a great show and they always make us feel so welcome. You can check out our performance by clicking here.
Crosstown Harmony welcomed special guest coach Karen Sweeters to share her knowledge and skills in barbershop during our semi-annual weekend retreat. With over 35 years in Sweet Adelines International, Karen has gone from singing "on the risers" to directing Harmony on the Sound, 15 time North Atlantic Region 1 Champions, located in Trumball, Conneticut. She's also a Certified Judge in the Expression Category and has escalated to the top level of Sweet Adelines musicianship as a Master Director. It was an amazing weekend of learning and fun.
A small group of Crosstown members were invited to the Barack Obama School of Career and Technical Education to sing for students in kindergarten all the way to high school. We just love sharing this art form with people who have likely never heard it before. For us music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything. We hope we inspired more than a few minds with our performances today. Thank you for inviting us to your school!
Crosstown Harmony enjoyed performing at the Brookfield Senior Center for an after lunch performance. The Brookfield Senior Community Center offers a variety of leisure and recreational opportunities to all area senior citizens. Whether you’re looking for entertainment, educational or social opportunities, you’re sure to find something of interest at the Center. We hope to be invited back again soon!
Briggs & Al's Run & Walk is a Milwaukee tradition and a critical fundraiser for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. For over 40 years, thousands of people have come together to walk or run in support of a child they love, connect with their mission and celebrate the kids they serve. Crosstown Harmony Chorus was delighted to be there cheering on the participants with songs along the route. 100% of the funds raised by participants directly support programs and services that prevent and ease the suffering of children.
Last night we were treated to an awesome coaching session by Jim Arns, fabulous director of The Melodeers chorus. A veritable font of singing knowledge that he was happy to impart to us. Such an exciting evening. Thank you Jim!
Crosstown members, family & friends participated in a fun social event this Thursday visiting the first Cat Cafe in Milwaukee, Sip & Purr. It was a great evening of socializing with our friends with two and four legs. If you're a cat lover, you have to check this place out.
Crosstown Harmony Chorus members filled the beer stand at the Ozaukee County Fair to serve up suds to its' fairgoers. We had a great time hanging out with our Crosstown sisters and singing for our supper! Thanks to everyone who gave their time to work the fair and to the patrons who generously tipped us for our hard work. We'll be back again next year!
