I apologize for falling down on the job!  I didn't get a picture of Makayla on Monday when she joined us to check out Crosstown Harmony Chorus!  Makayla brings much singing experience with her - and possibly her sister in the future!  After a fun evening of singing, we wrapped up the evening with a little Bier Garten party to celebrate Kari's birthday.  Nummy food - and a few beverages were consumed.

"Custard and harmony!"  Three words, sung in barbershop style, serenaded the patrons last week as members of the Crosstown Harmony Chorus volunteered time, talent, and voice for a fundraising evening at the Elm Grove store.  We don't have an amount yet for the fundraiser, but those of us who volunteered enjoyed ourselves and met many wonderful people!  We're thankful that Culver's had us back again and look forward to doing it in the future if the opportunity arises!  Thank you to Andrea for organizing the chorusters!

Guest coach, Heather Johnston, had Crosstown Harmony members singing with sass!  Filling in for another coach who could not attend, Heather showed us all how to put some hips and attitude into our tunes.  The chorus laughed a lot and learned a lot.  We were also gifted to have a barbershop singer from Texas join us for the night!  She joined in on the songs she knew.  Sometimes, surprises come in doubles.  A great time was had by all. 

Crosstown Harmony Chorus was thrilled to sing for the residents at Hart Park Senior Living. The audience was tapping their toes and singing along the whole afternoon. The fun spilled out into the hallways and elevators as residents made special requests for more singing after the show had ended. They were an amazing audience!

Crosstown Harmony Chorus members and friends once again served up drinks at the Ozaukee County Fair. Thank you to everyone who came by and tipped well!

Since 1859, the Ozaukee County Fair has been offering residents and visitors great traditional fair entertainment such as live music, truck & tractor pulls, a full midway, fireworks, demolition derbies, horse shows, contests, 4-H and livestock exhibitions & judging, kids entertainment and more! Come on down next year, grab a drink and enjoy the fair!

CTH members, Collene and Diane, embarked on a day trip to Joliet, Illinois to engage in a fun and informative afternoon of learning about the nuances of quartet singing.  Topics included finding the right vocal matches to knowing what your goals will be as a group, plus so much moré!  Keep your eyes peeled for more Region 3 events to continue growing in your musical life.  After all, “Tomorrow’s another day…”

Crosstown Harmony welcomed a guest to our rehearsal this week.  Camille was looking for a choral fit here in her new country and found us online.  We’re glad you did, Camille!

The MVE Chorus brought joy, energy, and laughter to Monday night’s rehearsal.  Crosstown was proud to be a test group for them as they head to Internationals next weekend.  Their performance for us was amazingly good.  We’re hoping they wow the judges at the competition and come home with some fun hardware.  (Since MVE requested we don’t post any stills or videos of them until after the competition, here’s a pic of our go-to gal, Kari!

Athletes are known to play through the pain.  Occasionally, choir members do, too, as tenor Rochelle Hackmann, one-and-a-half-days post op from emergency surgery brought her incredible high notes to be with her choir sisters as they performed the national anthem at today’s Lakeshore Chinooks game.

Fourteen ladies of Crosstown sang to a welcoming audience and received positive feedback on their rendition of the song.

It was a fun family afternoon filled with good baseball, kids contests, cheering, singing, and making memories.

Crosstown Harmony Chorus places Third in our division and Fifth Overall!
