It's Pizza Time!

Crosstown members and supporters had a great time preparing pizzas for our semi-annual Pizza Fundraiser! A Crosstown Harmony Pizza is like music for your taste buds. The crunchy, crisp crust crackles a tune, the tangy sauce sings, the toppings make a sweet melody and the cheese strings the cords together into a masterpiece of pizza!

Chorus Retreat, A Weekend of FUN!

Crosstown Harmony welcomed special guest coaches Karen Sweeters and her sister Gina Kaiser to share their knowledge and skills in barbershop during our semi-annual weekend retreat. With over 35 years in Sweet Adelines International, Karen has gone from singing "on the risers" to directing Harmony on the Sound, 15 time North Atlantic Region 1 Champions, located in Trumball, Conneticut. She's also a Certified Judge in the Expression Category and has escalated to the top level of Sweet Adelines musicianship as a Master Director. Gina Kaiser is a Visual Specialist, Choreographer and Showmanship Judge extraordinaire. Together these two lead Crosstown in a weekend of learning and fun.

Coaching with the Fantastic Jim Arns

Last night, Crosstown Harmony had a fabulous coaching session with the fabulous Jim Arns. One more step on our way to Regional Competition this April!

Jim Arns has directed the Melodeers Chorus since 1988, and is one of an elite group of directors to receive the Master Director 700, created in 2009 by Sweet Adelines International to honor musical directors whose choruses score 700 points or more (out of a possible 800) in Regional Competitions.

Crosstown Outing at the Movies

We may perform in the Babershop style, but that doesn't mean we don't appreciate other genres. Crosstown members took a field trip to the movies to see Pitch Perfect 3. We had a ball!

It's a Crosstown Christmas Party

Crosstown members new and old get together for a end of year holiday celebration. We reflected on our accomplishments, enjoyed some delicious food and drinks, played a few games, exchanged gifts, laughed and of course, we sang. This year we even held a supply drive for the Sojourner Family Peace Center. What better way to celebrate the holiday season than with 40 of your closest friends!

Entertaining the W.O.W. group

The Milwaukee W.O.W Club (Widowers of War) was founded in 1972 to offer friendship to those who have lost a spouse. Their families paid the ultimate price for our freedom and Crosstown Harmony Chorus is honored to have been invited back to perform for them. Even one of our own members is a member of the group!

If you are interested in joining W.O.W. please visit their website for more information. http://milwwowclub.info/
