The Women of Note award is given to one member of each chorus each year who rises above and beyond at the chorus level in Region 3.

Our newest Woman of Note has been with Crosstown Harmony Chorus since she joined Sweet Adelines in 1997 and has been an important asset since!

If we need someone to transport our signs to a performance, she’s there!
If we need someone to be in a pick-up quartet for Valentine’s Day, she’s there!
If we need someone to fill in some shifts at the Ozaukee Fair, she’s there!
If we need contributions to fund-raisers or outside activities, she’s there!
 

Our Woman of Note persuades us to join in upcoming sing-outs, so that we have good representation in the community, and have good performances.  She also drums up our enthusiasm to participate in fund-raisers such as the Ozaukee County Fair, the shoe drive, the pizza sales, and others.
 

In fact, our Woman of Note has not only contributed as a regular member, but also as a member of our Administration Team, having had several positions including Marketing Chair, Secretary and even Admin Team Leader.  She’s had the very important position of Business Manager for several years where she organizes all of our upcoming performances.  She keeps in contact with the venue, informs the rest of us about where, when, and to whom we are singing, what we are wearing and what we will sing! This is a huge job!

This Woman of Note is an important and vital part of our chorus.  You can always find her dancing in the First Row, talking about her two black cats, and wearing shorts in the dead of winter.  Of course, I’m talking about our 2024 Woman Of Note, Julie!
