Crosstown Goes to Contest

Lights, camera, action, CONVENTION!

Women from all over Region 3 submitted videos of their best performance package in an all out barbershop battle for the champion title. Airing of the competition and winners will be announced on Saturday May 21. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us and watch the taping. We look forward to hearing all the contestants at this years competition!

Let's hear it for your Milwaukee Admirals!

Crosstown Harmony Chorus had the honor of performing our National Anthem prior to the action packed fun of the Milwaukee Admirals game. We were astounded at how big our voices sounded in the large arena and can't wait to come back again!

Coaching with the Incomparable Jim Arns

On Monday, April 4 we had the honor of learning from Master Director 700 Jim Arns!

Jim Arns has directed the Melodeers Chorus since 1988, and is one of an elite group of directors to receive the Master Director 700, created in 2009 by Sweet Adelines International to honor musical directors whose choruses score 700 points or more (out of a possible 800) in Regional Competitions.

Crosstown Harmony Coaches with the Best!

This Saturday Crosstown Harmony welcomed special guest coaches Karen Sweeters and her sister Gina Kaiser to share their knowledge and skills in barbershop. With over 35 years in Sweet Adelines International, Karen has gone from singing "on the risers" to directing Harmony on the Sound, 15 time North Atlantic Region 1 Champions, located in Trumball, Connecticut. She's also a Certified Judge in the Expression Category and has escalated to the top level of Sweet Adelines musicianship as a Master Director. Gina Kaiser is a Visual Specialist, Choreographer and Showmanship Judge extraordinaire. Together these two deliver outstanding guidance mixed with a great deal of fun!

Presenting our 2022 Woman of Note

Our 2022 Woman of Note has been a member of Crosstown Harmony and SAI for a relatively short while—6 years.  But in those six short years, she has taken the Sweet Adeline mission, vision, and guiding principles to heart, especially during our last two difficult years.

Within months of her joining Crosstown Harmony, she shared her considerable skills and talents in many ways.   She embraced the Sweet Adeline style of singing well enough to quickly become a front row singer.  She takes time from her job to attend performances, helps at the Oz Fair, became a member of the Admin Team, and even took over organizing the pizza sale fundraiser.  And she makes it look so easy!

Friends & Family Show is a Huge Hit!

Crosstown Harmony Chorus hopes we helped bring holiday joy to all that attended our Friend's and Family show! It was a casual evening of music performed by our talented troupe and was followed by light refreshments. Even St. Nick joined the party taking pictures with the kiddos and had our bellies shaking like bowls full of jelly.

Holiday Fun at the West Allis Christkindl Markt

The Christkindlmarkt was back at West Allis Farmers Market and Crosstown Harmony was there singing all your favorite Christmas carols.

Sponsored by the City of West Allis and Eat West Allis, Christkindlmarkt brings specialty food retailers and artisan crafters from around Wisconsin to West Allis for an unforgettable night of outdoor holiday shopping. There was live music, great food, wine and brews. We had a blast singing (and shopping!). For more information on this fun event visit their website: http://www.eatwestallis.com/events/

Caroling in Burlington

Crosstown Harmony always loves performing in the Burlington Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting Ceremony.

The event was full of sweets, happiness, and fantastical floats that glided through the historic downtown, and Crosstown harmony was there caroling the streets starting out the parade to get everyone in a festive mood.

Come see us again next year at this joyous event!

Virtual Christmas Performance for Aurora

Crosstown members performed for the Bariatric Surgery team at Aurora for their Virtual Christmas party.

In person or as apart of a virtual celebration, Crosstown is here to bring music and harmony to all.

We're Back!

In our first public performance since Dec. of 2019, Crosstown Harmony chorus was delighted to have been invited to share the joy of music to the residents at Heartis Village. The audience was tapping their feet and singing along and all of us singers were tickled pink at being able to perform again.
